Our Staff

Our staff’s many years of veterinary and equine experience allow us to provide the highest level of care for your horse.

Not only does our staff have the horse’s best interest in mind, but also the owner’s. We understand the bond between a horse and its owner, and that is why we are committed to providing the best care possible.

Libby Maddux

Dr. Maddux

Dr. Maddux attended Murray State University and the Auburn School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Maddux interned for the Chicago Equine Medical Center (formerly Merritt and Associates Equine Hospital). Following her internship, Dr. Maddux worked for Franklin Equine Services for two years in Franklin, TN. Dr. Maddux returned to western Kentucky and established Maddux Equine Services in 2011.
Dr. Maddux is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA).



Kelsey received her degree in Equine Science at The Ohio State University and the University of Kentucky. While attending the University of Kentucky, Kelsey worked as a veterinary technician at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington. Kelsey moved to western Kentucky and began working for Maddux Equine Services as a veterinary technician.
Kelsey is a member of the American Association of Equine Veterinary Technicians (AAEVT).

Erica joined Maddux Equine in October of 2017 as the office manager. Erica relocated from Boston, MA to Princeton and brings 10 years of accounting experience to Maddux Equine Services.

I love working for Dr. Maddux because we are passionate about everything we do.



Brook earned a Bachelor of Arts at Bellarmine University, and is currently taking classes through Murray State to apply for veterinary school in the fall. Brook previously worked at Shively Animal Clinic in Louisville as a hospital worker and lab technician. Brook has been employed at Maddux Equine Services since May 2016 and helps work the front desk and assists Dr. Maddux as an extra set of hands.
